Road Closure Flinders Island

Monday, April 22nd, 2013

FLINDERS COUNCIL

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ROAD USERS

NOTIFICATION OF ROADS CLOSURE AND DETOUR

Please note that replacement of Officers Creek Bridge on Memana Road (between the Whitemark Tip and Walkers Lookout Road) will commence on Monday 22nd April.

Memana Road will be closed at the work site but a detour has been constructed on the southern side of the bridge to allow passage around the works site for the public. Council anticipate the closure will last approximately two weeks.

The detour road is narrow compared to Memana Road and motorists are advised to take care and obey speed and directional signs. Heavy vehicles and trucks should use an alternate route until such time as the bridge is replaced.

Council apologises for any inconvenience the closure may cause the traveling public.
