Flinders Island Car Rentals is excited to announce that they have received funding from the 2011 Renewable Energy Fund – King and FlindersIslands, to go towards a new electric car and solar panels.
Flinders Island Car Rentals have decided to purchase a Mitsubishi i-MiEV. The i-MiEV will be used as a Clean, Green Airport Shuttle vehicle to transport customers to and from the Whitemark airport and Whitemark township.
The solar panels will be installed at the Flinders Island Car Rentals depot were the electric car will be charged.
Flinders Island Car Rentals will have the 1st Electric Car in Tasmania and couldn’t be more thrilled.
