Walks On Flinders Island

If you a nature lover or just enjoy a good walk in the wilderness then this walk is for you!

For a superb ‘Flinders Island Walk’ take the left turnoff just before the start of the Emita Hill and arrive at the serene backwaters of Sawyer’s Bay. A great picnic and barbecue spot as well as a photographers delight this venue is sure to please all who come to visit the Island. Walking can be serious – perhaps an hour or two in either direction to arrive at Blue Rocks or Settlement Point or a more leisurely jaunt of a quarter hour to take in the tranquillity and magic of a beach ‘lost in time’. Thousands of ‘stunted’ mussels shells can be found washed up above high water mark as well as other interesting items of a nautical nature. This is one beach walk not to be missed.
